The Abdul-Kabir Aliu Foundation scholarship is offering both undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships to high performing muslim students in Nigerian Universities. The foundation is the initiative and social responsibility project of the CEO of Matrix Energy Group – Alhaji (Engr.) Abdulkabir Aliu.
The AbdulKabir Aliu Foundation, with the aid of this scholarship intend to assist Muslims students in Nigerian universities who makes themselves identifiable as Muslims.
Scholarship Details
The Foundation scholarship was created by the Chief Executive Officer of Matrix Energy Group – Alhaji (Engr.) Abdulkabir Aliu. At inception of the Foundation in 2014, the foundation began by giving scholarships to 70 intelligent students in 6 federal universities in Nigeria. The Foundation has now expanded applications from Muslim students in 13 universities across Nigeria.
The two greatest strength of the foundation are the leadership team and the Board of Trustees. They have been involved in bringing together different groups of informed and engaged individuals to serve as Muslims students’ role models.
The believe of the foundation is that, knowledge should be guided by values in life. The foundation aims to creat in all Muslim student the capability for consideration for others and disciplined learning through an obligation to inspirational and rigorous academic program and character formation.
Requirements for AbdulKabir Aliu Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship
To benefit from the AbdulKabir Aliu Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship, the following eligibility criteria are required to be met by applicants:
- Applicant must be an active Muslim student in a federal University in Nigeria
- Applicants are required to at least maintain a second class upper (2.1) cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or an equivalent grade for medical students
- However, students of Ede (Osun State) origin and University of Maiduguri (Bornu State) students with a minimum cumulative grade of second class lower (2.2) division can apply.
- Possess good moral character and behaviour
- Must pass the qualifying aptitude test within the top percentile
Requirements for AbdulKabir Aliu Foundation Masters and PhD Scholarships
To benefit from the AbdulKabir Aliu Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship, the following requirements are the eligibility criteria:
- Applicant must be a good Muslim student in a federal University in Nigeria
- Graduated with at least a second class upper (2.1) division or an equivalent grade for medical students
- Only students of Ede origin can apply for Masters and PhD Scholarships
- Possess good moral character and behaviour
- Must pass the qualifying aptitude test within the top percentile

- Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto
- University of Port Harcourt and
- University of Abuja
